Revolutionary motion sensing technology

PureTone Motion™ is a groundbreaking new technology using SUPRASOUND to enable contactless motion sensing on smartphones with transformative potential for sleep tracking, relaxation, gaming and more.

What is SUPRASOUND?

Suprasound - meaning “above-sound” - is a term coined by inventor Jules Goldberg to describe frequencies close to the ultrasonic threshold - 20 kHz - that are inaudible to humans but are within the acoustic range of smartphones.

The term covers frequencies from around 18 kHz that are usually inaudible to humans and helps to avoid confusion with medical ultrasound, which uses frequencies ~100x higher.

How it works

PureTone Motion uses the phone’s speaker to emit suprasonic waves and analyzes the signal received by the microphone to detect nearby movements.

The speaker vibrates the air near your phone

Movements reflect energy to the microphone

Meet the inventor

Jules Goldberg is the founder of Reviva Softworks and inventor of PureTone Motion™ technology.

Following intensive in-house R&D, Jules developed breakthrough techniques for acoustic motion sensing on phones, enabling accurate, directional tracking of slow movements. With a passion for engineering and design, he has created other top-rated apps including Sleepwave and SnoreLab.
